Perfect Cup of Coffee

Best Home Coffee Makers

Have you ever wondered what exactly makes the "best home coffee makers"? I know that when I am at the store looking at row after row of brands, styles, sizes and colors the choice is endless. It is best to pick one that you are sure adheres to your "best home coffee makers" criteria. Would you say it is by brand? Would you say that Krupps is better than Braun, if so why? Would you say that one fits your best home coffee makers criteria?

Are you looking for  4 Cup coffee makers, 1 Cup coffee makers or possibly 14 Cup coffee makers? These guidelines can help you narrow your search.

When I start looking for a replacement to "old faithful" and that has recently quit working I look for the following, in order of importance to fit my idea of the best home coffee maker.

  • Price

I take the price into heavy consideration when picking a new coffee machine because of today's economy and i feel that the price should reflect the quality and longevity of the coffee machine; however this is not always the case.

  • Brand

In today’s market there are tons of brands to choose from. Many of the brands include black and decker coffee makers, Keurig coffee makers, Krupps coffee makersand my personal favorite Bosch coffee makers. Regardless of your favorite brand, by doing a little research you may be pleasantly surprised in finding a different brand that does what you want it do for less of the cost.

  • Function

Is it able to do what I want it to do? When I look for a new coffee machine I will make sure that it will do what I want it to do, I prefer a machine that will:

  • Shut off automatically. (A safety feature that I love)
  • Keep the coffee hot, yet not burn it.
  • Make as little or as much as I am in the mood for.
  • Must be fairly simple to use. (Because my children like to surprise me with coffee in bed)
  • Size

Will it fit on my counter? I have a fairly small kitchen and limited counter space, the last thing I want is to buy a machine that is so massive have to store it in the cupboard or in the basement until it is time to use is because it is too large to stay in its "home" on my counter.

  • Style

we all know that just because it looks cool or streamline it won’t necessarily be the best coffee maker for what we want it to do. In the past I have given in to form over function but when it comes to kitchen appliances, function is what means most. As a result I ended up with a great looking, hard to use coffee maker.
